• Daily log data: blood glucose readings, insulin doses, and food notes that you enter manually.
• Usage data: timestamps of log entries and basic app activity (no device fingerprinting or advertising identifiers).

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to:

• Display your health logs and trends within the application.
• Generate monthly reports and statistics for your personal review.
• Allow authorised administrators (such as your clinic) to view your data if you are registered under a managed account.
• Improve the performance and reliability of the application.

We do not use your health data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

3. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal or health data with third parties, except:

• When required by law or a valid legal process.
• With service providers (e.g., hosting) who process data strictly on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• If you explicitly grant a healthcare provider access to your records.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in an encrypted database. Access is protected by authentication tokens and role-based permissions. We apply industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption in transit and regular security reviews.

No system is 100% secure. In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data and health logs are permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymised, non-identifiable aggregate statistics may be retained for service improvement.

• Access and download a copy of your health data at any time via the Reports & Export feature.
• Correct inaccurate information in your profile.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Withdraw consent for data processing by closing your account.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

GlycoLog uses browser local storage or session storage to keep you logged in. No third-party tracking cookies are used. If you choose "Remember Me" on login, your session persists across browser restarts; otherwise, it ends when you close the browser.

8. Children's Privacy

GlycoLog is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has registered, please contact us for prompt removal.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the application. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
